APRS Thursday is run by AxelStack LLC, a United States company.
What we collect
Server logs. The address your connection came from, the page requested, the time and your browser type, kept for a short time to run and secure the site.
Analytics. We count visits with analytics software we host ourselves; nothing goes to a third party. It sets one first-party cookie, kept for up to thirteen months, so a returning browser is counted as returning; it is not shared with anyone and does not follow you to other sites. It records the pages viewed, how long they were open, which of the page's controls and filters were used, the callsigns and text searched for, the approximate country and the device type; the connection address is shortened before it is stored.
Your location. If you press the location button on the map, the browser's position is drawn on your screen and goes no further; it is not sent to us.
There are no accounts and no advertising.
Operators shown on the site
The map and lists show amateur radio messages and positions that operators transmitted publicly and that the APRS-IS network relayed: a callsign, the text of a check-in, and, where the station beacons one, a position and comment the operator chose to send. To have a message or station removed, write to support@axelstack.com with the callsign.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you and have it corrected or deleted. Write to support@axelstack.com.
